Police Chief Simulator release date, editions & buying guide

Is the full game available?

Yes. The Steam listing now shows a released game with a purchase option. Older articles describing a planned September launch are out of date. If your Library still says Prologue or Demo, you are opening a different edition.

Which download should I choose?

Choose the full game to follow the ongoing full-release updates. For a free introduction, open Prologue — Early Days. A Demo download also appears on the main store page. Use our edition comparison before applying a walkthrough: patch numbers and progression are not interchangeable.

Check your regional price in Steam before paying. Prices, discounts and bundles change; buying another game in the same universe is not described as a requirement for playing this title.

Platform, language and multiplayer checks

The checked listing specifies Windows and single-player. It includes Simplified Chinese interface and subtitles, with English full audio. This guide has not verified a console release or co-op announcement. A translated interface does not mean every language has spoken dialogue.

Before purchase, compare your hardware with the edition-specific PC requirements. The published minimum does not promise a frame rate.

What changed after launch?

Update #2 added a Prisoner Transporter conversion. Update #3 introduced the X-26 Taser and changed the relevant storyline equipment. Update #7 added casework equipment and vehicle recovery in the Sheriff’s Office. These changes explain why launch videos may no longer match your screen.

For a first session, start with the first-shift plan. For a blocked action, use the symptom guide before reinstalling or replacing saves.
